Those looking forward to the first season of Battlefield 2042, you might be waiting a while, as the latest datamine from the game’s client states that Battlefield 2042 Season 1 is scheduled to start in March 2022! This suggests that DICE might not be dropping any new content (maps, weapons, etc.) in the first two months of 2022.

Furthermore, the game client datamined by the ever-reliable temporyal cites 12 pre-season weeks, which lines up to the March Season 1 launch date. Unless DICE has added a few seasons as “back up” challenges to the game, players might be in for a long drought for new content. The map we’re getting in the first season seems to be called “Exposure” which was originally datamined as “Ridge.”
The #Battlefield2042 client includes weekly missions for 12 preseason weeks.
🗓️ Season 1 seems to be scheduled for March 2022 (unless they've added a few weeks as "backup").
🇨🇦 "Exposure" is probably the final name for the previously datamined "Ridge" map.

Important to note that given this is datamined info, nothing is set in stone. DICE can suddenly drop Season 1 of BF2042 sometime in January 2022 if they so wish. Or heck, the studio can drop a map, mode or weapon outside of a season, so anything is possible. Please keep that in mind before spreading news that Battlefield 2042 won’t feature new content until March 2020 as gospel (since we do not know that for certain). That said, this isn’t the sort of datamined info you want to see for the game right now.
